A shot of Waldo and I in an early practice run. We were paired 'cus of our names (Auld & Autry) as they went alphabetical that year (hence the 101 and 102 numbers).

Now Waldo is fast and I can hang in there. We pushed each other all day. We both ended up qualifying in the top 5.

 
This was the race for the bronze in the Dual event. Talk about close.

I had fun on the podium that day.  This is my first medal at the ESPN X Games (hopefully not the last).

I won the Bronze Medal in the Dual event.  I was pretty exited.
This is the credential all the competitors at the X Games receive.

A 3rd place celebration with my mother and brother who were able to see me live in San Diego.  This is the first time they have seen me compete.  Glad I had a good day.

1998 X Games Results
I thought it would be interesting to see the overall standings of the 1998 X Games in a unique format (for ESPN anyway). 

I used the World Super Bike point values and format (See table at right).

I hope to update the table based on the IGSA point system and I'm waiting for the full field results.
