Justin Davis Stedt
While he was an artist of prodigious energy and ability, his true art was his life. His favorite saying was from a fellow graduate of Art Center, world-renowned photographer, Wynn Bullock, "Creativity is an ode to life. It is not a form of entertainment. It is a form of joy." He will be missed so deeply that there is no way to express the sorrow of his passing. He is survived by his father, Thure Stedt and partner Michele Adams of Escondido; mother Jeanne Davis of Blythe; grandmother Dr. Pauline Stedt of Sun City; aunt Marlana Barry of Buffalo, N.Y.; uncle Jan Stedt of Imperial Beach; cousins Eric Rice, Brian Rice, Jasmine Stedt and Forrest Stedt; and four incredible women, each of whom he loved deeply in unique and significant ways: Rena Wessels, Diana Priddy, with whom he spent six wonderful years, Melodee Khazeie and Verena Cortez.
